Dimensions define how data is filtered and structured in the report.
The Dimension column lists all dimensions in the report.
The Member column defines which members are used.
The Filter column controls whether you can change the dimension at runtime.
In this article, we will cover:
Setting Up Report Dimension Filters
From the Overflow Menu
, select Edit.Open the Dimensions tab.
-
Select the Filter check box for required dimensions.

-
Save the report.
Filters appear below the report name and allow quick adjustments without editing.
Key behavior
If Filter is enabled → member is a starting value (not fixed).
- If Filter is disabled → member is fixed (hard-coded).
Working with Large Dimensions
When a dimension contains a large number of members (more than 10,000), filtering in web reports may not always function as expected.
If you select a parent member with fewer than approximately 5,000 leaf members, the filter works as expected.
If you select a parent member with more than approximately 5,000 leaf members, the filter may return no results.
Workarounds
Apply filters using other dimensions (for example, use Entity if working with entity prefixes).
Use property-based filtering where applicable.
Displaying Additional Dimensions
Select Show inherited members.
-
Review additional dimensions.
Hard-coded dimensions cannot be shown as inherited members.
Additional Options
Select the member column for a dimension using the Dimension menu
icon, choose a different level or member for the report, and then select Apply to save your changes.
You can also reset it back to the default dimension.
