Running Company-Level Synchronization

You can control and run data synchronization to get the latest company data faster into the system, without waiting for full system updates.

In this article, we will cover:

Running Synchronization by Company

You can run synchronization only for selected companies so you can update data faster without waiting for a full sync.

  1. From the Left Nav Menu, select ERP Connect.

Here you see a list of Instances configured for this environment.

  2. Select an Instance.

  3. The Connection Properties panel slides in.

    The properties here, are pre-configured.

  4. In the Selected Companies section, press the Edit icon.

The Select Companies modal window displays.

  5. In the Companies list, select the companies you want to include for synchronization.

  6. Use the arrow to move selected companies to the configured list.

  7. Press Synchronize.

Synchronization pulls data primarily from Kinetic into a PC Portal.

Using the Reports Data Refresh Feature

You can run synchronization directly from the main screen using the Synchronize by Company option.

  1. On the main screen, select the Synchronize by Company icon.

You can see this icon only if your role has the Reports Data Refresh feature enabled.

  2. In the Available Companies list, select the companies you want to synchronize.

  3. Press Save & Synchronize.

You can save and synchronize at the same time, using this functionality.

You must have access to specific companies (entities) to run synchronization. If you do not have access, the synchronization window may not display.

This functionality is similar to ERP Connect synchronization, but availability depends on user role permissions.

Viewing Synchronization Status and History

You can track synchronization activity, confirm updates and review recent runs by company.

  1. On the main screen, select the Notifications icon.

  2. In the notifications panel, select View All.

The Notifications status window displays. Here, you can:

    • Review recent sync runs.

    • View which companies were synchronized.

    • Review details of recent updates.

The synchronization history shows details for each company included in recent sync runs. Access to history data depends on position-level permissions. Only users with access to a specific company (entity) can view its synchronization details in the history.
